Tribute, truly looks like a miniature Arabian horse. Born in 1997. I can't imagine what it was like, for the Washburn's of Celebration Farm, where he was born, to see this fine boned, long necked elegant colt. Miniature's just didn't look like that then.
I love to hear Sharon Housley describe seeing him in the pasture and asking to show him! I wish I could have known him then. Tribute had a succsessful show career. Which was long before my time. He drove in single pleasure and did halter! We did show him in Sr Stallions with Sheri and he placed 10th!
When it was time to buy our first "Stallion" we were in Eugene for the Show. Sheri Riedel brought me over to a stall to look at a stallion that Phil Washburn had brought down for people to look at.
There he was! I knew "NOTHING" about what I was looking at. The one thing I had said I didn't want was a "White" stallion! Well, now I know it's gray and now I know what purchasing him "Gray" and all has ment to my life.
When Sheri took him out of the stall, he took our breathe away! Meliss See was there with ll he wisdom and Sharon Housley put him in a cart to show me how he could move! Thank goodness for the guidence of these wonderful women.
Over the years I've been told "but he's gray" it's something I can't change and wouldn't. I wouldn't trade what he has given us.
His foals get better as they age. I'm happy to see his son Dominus staying elegant, fine boned and beautiful. And Tribute, at 14 years of age still, produces current "Arabian type" foals that we look for in modern miniature horses!
Tribute wasn't a World Champion. But he has produced one and I wouldn't be where I am today without him. He gave Quintessa Electributes Dominus We are honored to own him. Tribute is the "ESSENCE" of Quintessa !
